BFG Farms began in 2003 with the Purchase of a herd of “Beef Master” cattle. Marcia and I had just returned from our honeymoon, when a neighbor knocked and informed me that he was selling his herd of Beef Masters. He gave us first opportunity to purchase his herd since he knew we had been interested in them. So began our future in the cattle business.

I wanted to find something “different” so I started looking at different types of cattle and I discovered Marky Cattle. After a lengthy research process BFG Farms purchased Jake and Goldie, both 100%. We then started purchasing from Farms and Ranches all over the USA.

2004
We traveled to Italy to attend an International Meeting where we met breeders from all over the world. Our adventure in Italy was the final straw; we knew we wanted in the Marchigiana Cattle business. We sold down the Beef Masters and bought additional heifers and cows as they became available.

2008
I had four of our best cows artificially inseminated with semen from three different bulls from Italy. In early 2009 these cows had four outstanding heifers. I have included pictures of them on this website.  BFG purchased a young bull with different bloodlines and put into the pasture with breeding age heifers.

2009
As we at BFG Farms begin to expand and grow we invite likeminded individuals to visit our website, email us, call us or make an appointment and come view our herd, but be careful, you will be hooked !!!
